Mold shows up in different places and to different degrees: a few spots on a seat belt, or growth across the carpet, seats and headliner. That’s why we inspect every vehicle first and plan the treatment around what we find, instead of using one approach for every car.
The price and the process both depend on how severe the mold is and how far it has spread.
Fix the leak before we treat the mold
Mold grows where water gets in. If your vehicle has a leak (a door or window seal, sunroof drain, windshield or anything else), have it properly repaired before your appointment. If the leak isn’t fixed, or the repair doesn’t hold, the mold can come back, and our 5-day guarantee won’t cover the results.

Why do you inspect first?
No two mold jobs are the same. The inspection shows where the mold is, what it’s growing on and how much work it will take, so the price and the plan fit your vehicle.
Can every mold problem be fixed the same way?
No. Light surface mildew and heavy growth through carpet and padding need different approaches. We’ll tell you what we recommend, and if a part is too far gone to clean, we’ll say so.
What causes mold in a car?
Moisture that doesn’t dry out: a leak, a spill soaked into the carpet, wet floor mats, or windows left open in the rain. A vehicle that sits closed up makes it worse.
Do I need to fix a leak first?

Will the mold come back?
If the leak is properly fixed and the interior stays dry, it has much less chance to. If water is still getting in, it can return. That’s why leaks have to be repaired before we start, and why our 5-day guarantee doesn’t cover results when they aren’t.
